Before I post this I want to let everyone know that I'm new here. This character is from my fanfiction that is a crossover of Teen Titans and the Legend of Zelda. I hope it is okay to post him here. If not, I'm sorry.
Real Name: Link
Alias: Link
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Abilities: masterful sword skills, good use with other weapons, and aura manipulating abilities.
Personality: Link is a normally kind-hearted person that tries to avoid confrontation whenever possible. However, when protecting the ones he loves, he battles to the best of his abilities. He can also be a little naive, as he was raised in a villiage cut off from the rest of the country.
Description: Link wears a green tunic and floppy green cap. He also wears guantlets on his hands and brown boots on his feet. Underneath his tunic he wears white, with a layer of chain mail on top of that. His hair is usually wild, unkempt, and a bit long, and his most distinguishing feature may be his blue eyes, which glow with a blue light when he is using his powers.
History: Link was born in Lanayru Town, a little-known villiage in northern California. Both of his parents died when he was one year old, so he was taken in by his uncle. He was taught the art of swordplay by his uncle, and on his thirteenth birthday, his training was complete. But that was also the day that his home was attacked by Slade (a.k.a Deathstroke), who was searching for a certain individual. He killed Link's uncle after he had tried to decieve him into believing that he was that individual.
Soon after, Slade realized that Link was that individual. Link fled to the freshwater spring on the outskirts of his hometown. When he got there, Slade attacked him, but the Lanayru, the Light Spirit who lived in the spring, saved Link, and then revealed Link's destiny. As it turned out, Link was the legendary Hero of Time, and was destined to save the world from great evil. Lanayru bestowed upon him the hero's garb, and then told Link to travel west to deliver a sacred ring to a person that was chosen by the spirits.
When Link arrived at a coastal city, he met an alien girl that had crashed on Earth. The girl's name later turns out to be Starfire, and after Link tries to communicate with her, the other future Teen Titans attempt to attack Starfire. After a series of events. They all become friends. This is a first for Link, because back in Lanayru Town, he had no friends at all. After recieving a communicator and delivering the ring to Starfire, Lanayru calls Link back to his spring. Link is reluctant to go, but has no choice.
On the way, Link has a nasty fall and his communicator breaks. He wants to go get it fixed but the spirit does not let him. Upon returning to Lanayru's spring, he points out the Orb of Light that formed when Link caught one of Starfire's starbolts during the fight. Lanayru then orders Link to travel the world and seek the other three Light Spirits. Link is reluctant at first, but Lanayru assures that him that he will see his friends again.
During the discussion between Link and Lanayru, it is also pointed out that Link has developed a crush on Starfire. When Link returns four years later, the Titans don't remember him all too well, none except Starfire that is. Link had been gone so long, and because he had never called, Starfire assumed him to be dead. But when he returns, Starfire is the one that convinces the others to let him back on the team.
The first time Link participates in combat practice, he does exceptionally well; almost breaking the course record. Also, to the others suprise, Raven, who normally has a hard time trusting new friends, seems to trust Link just fine, even telling Link a tale from one of her books.
Link is determined to be as much help to the team as possible, and hopes to get along with all of his new friends. Unbeknownst to them however is that Link may not be all he appears to be. To make matters worse, Slade is still after him, for reasons unknown.

My name is Link. My story is quite a long one, but I'll tell it as best I can.
I'll start from the beginning. I was born and raised in a little-known village called Lanayru Town. It was a peaceful place, surrounded by a beautiful forest. Some say that it was protected by a great spirit who lived within the freshwater spring on the outskirts of town, though nobody had ever seen the spirit before. At least, not until I did.
But I'm getting ahead of myself, first let me tell you a little more about who I am. My master says that I will be a great warrior some day, just like my parents. Speaking of my parents, they passed away when I was but one year old. I know, its sad, but I wasn't abandoned. My uncle, known only to me as Bladelight, took me in when I had no one else. He raised me in the art of the sword as though I was his son. I was always good with the sword, especially because of my "gift", as Bladelight called it.
To be more precise, it is this power I have, a power that lets me read other people's aura, and to an extent, read their thoughts and movements. Sounds cool right? Well, no one else thought so. None of the children at my school liked me, just because of my powers. In other words, I never had any friends.
It was my thirteenth birthday when it happened. I was in one of my daily training sessions with Bladelight, and he had the upper hand. I couldn't touch him, so I just dropped my sword and said, "This is pointless! I'll never be able to hit you, master!" Bladelight then told me, "Link. If you focus your gift into your blade, you will be able strike me easily. Now try it."
"No one else thinks its a gift. Its more like a curse." I muttered to myself. Apparently, Bladelight heard me, as he said, "They may not understand, but it is what makes you special. Not many people are gifted with powers such as yours. Now, simply try it. There is no reason to fear." There was no point in arguing with him, so I picked up my training sword, and began to focus. My eyes began glow with a blue light, and I could feel energy flowing from my body into my sword. I had become one with it. Bladelight attempted to attack me, but I predicted his movement, dodged, and then clashed my sword against his. To my suprise, I was able to push him backwards into the wall. When he got up, he began laughing proudly. "See. When you focus your power into your blade, nobody can best you." he told me.
That comment made me feel good, and as I was thinking about what he would teach me next, Bladelight walked over to the fireplace. Above the fireplace is where Bladelight kept his most valued sword, which he called the Hero's Sword. He took it down and handed it to me. "I believe the time has come for you to have this." he told me. I took the sword in my hand and looked upon it. "It is your thirteenth birthday, and I have nothing left to teach you. You must now teach yourself, Link." he told me proudly.
At that moment, to our suprise, a huge explosion occured in the den. It blew a big gaping hole in the wall, big enough for a person top fit through. And as it so happened, a man in black armor and a brown mask lunged out of the smoke. As the man raised a laser pistol, Bladelight swiftly attacked him. I tried to intervene, but Bladelight proceded to slice the man's head in half. I expected blood, but saw none, because as it turned out, that man was mechanical. Soon, three more mechanical men came out of the smoke. Two of them went after Bladelight, and one of them went after me. I tried to fight, but I was too distracted to focus power into my sword. Even so, I managed to slice apart the machine.
At that time I had noticed that the two mechanical men that went after Bladelight had him by the arms. I tried to help him, but at that time, another man had entered the fray. However, this man was bigger than the others, and looked much stronger. He was wearing black armor like the mechanical men, but his mask was different. Instead of being just brown, the other half of it was black. The eye that was on the brown side of his mask was fixed on me, and I could tell from his gaze, that he was no machine. He lunged at me faster than I could react. I was knocked back by his punch, so hard that a pile of rubble fell on top of me. I struggled, but I wasn't able to get up.
"I take it you're this swordsman's apprentice?" the man asked me in a cold, deep voice. "My name is Link! And yeah, I am his apprentice! You're not going to get away with this!" I shouted at him. He didn't seem to be paying much attention to what I said, because he was now in front of Bladelight, who was held captive by two of the mechanical men. "I heard that there was a swordsman who lived in these parts. Are you him? Or am I mistaken?" the man asked.
Bladelight looked at the man and said, "I am a swordsman. But what do you want with me?"
"I am looking for some valuable information, and I have heard rumors that you have the information I seek. Is this true?" the man asked Bladelight, as he began to circle him. "What are you talking about? What information?" Bladelight asked him. The man was now right in front of Bladelight again, and he answered, "The whereabouts of the Hero of Time." Bladelight looked shocked, but remained silent. "You know where he is, don't you?" the man asked him.
"I know nothing of the sort!" Bladelight immediately answered. The man looked angry, but instead of lashing out at Bladelight, he started to approach me. "What are you doing?! Leave the boy alone!" Bladelight demanded. The man turned his head to face Bladelight. "Tell me what I need to know, or I'll dispose of your precious apprentice." he told Bladelight. Upon hearing that, I tried to get out of the rubble, but I was only able to slip out little by little, not enough to get out before he could strike. "Wait!" Bladelight said, "I'll tell you, just don't hurt the boy."
"Good." the man said. He then approached Bladlight. "Now then, I ask again, where is the Hero of Time." the man asked. Bladelight looked at me for a second, sighed, then looked down. "He is before you. I am the Hero of Time." he told him.
The man, however, did not appear pleased. Then to my suprise, he picked up Bladelight's sword and, to my shock, thrust it through my master, killing him. while he was dying, the man whispered into his ear, "I know you're lying." I had managed to pull myself free, and I focused as much power into my sword as possible. The man wasn't paying attention as I viscously knocked him into the wall with my sword. I then heard my master's last dying words. "Li..ink...go..to..the spring...." he said with his last breath. I had tears in my eyes, but I had no time to cry, because the masked man had recovered from the blow I gave him. "You! You're the one I've been looking for!" he said viscously to me.
I wasn't going to stick around. I bolted out through the hole in the wall, and ran for the spring like Bladelight told me to. The man was hot on my trail, but I had to keep running. When I reached the spring, I had nowhere left to run, and the man grabbed me by the throat. "I've been waiting a long time for this." he said as he raised me in the air and choked me. As I tried to get free, I noticed that the water and rocks in the spring began glowing, and the masked man had noticed it too.
Just then, a glowing golden sphere rose out of the water, glowing so brightly that it caused the man to drop me. Then a shining serpent shot out of the spring and knocked the man back. As he got up, he told me, "We will meet again, Link." Afterward, he vanished within a smokescreen. I looked upon the serpent, who had proceeded to wrap itself around the sphere. It then spoke to me, not in words, but in thought. It was communicating with me through my powers.
"You can relax. The evil one is gone now. He can no longer harm you." the serpent said. "Who are you?" I asked the serpent. "My name is Lanayru. I am one of the four Light Spirits who protect this world by the order of the dieties. I have been long expecting your arrival, Hero of Time." Lanayru answered.
"I'm not the Hero of Time. My master said he was." I told Lanayru. "Your master purposely attempted to decieve the evil one, even at the cost of his own life, so that you could survive. You are the Hero of Time." Lanayru explained. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I mean, I always knew I was different form everyone else, but I never imagined that I was a hero! "You have many ordeals ahead of you. But before that, allow me to bestow upon you the garb of the hero." Lanayru told me. He then proceeded to wrap his body around me. I was enveloped in a bright light. When it faded, and when Lanayru unwrapped himself form around me, my outfit had changed. I was now wearing a green tunic with a long green hat. I was also wearing guantlets upon my hands, and my Hero's Sword had been placed within a scabbard on my back, and covering that was a metal shield, with a design depicting a pheonix and three golden triangles. "The garb you now wear, once belonged to the previous Hero of Time. It is yours to wear if you wish." Lanayru told me. "Its really cool! Thank you." I said to him. "Now then, Hero of Time, I have a task for you." Lanayru said. He then opended his jaws, and I noticed two golden rings upon his fangs.
"Take these rings, Hero of Time." Lanayru told me. I slid the rings off of his fangs, and put one on my left hand. But as I was about to put the other one on, Lanayru stopped me. "Only one of these rings is for you. The other is for the one chosen by the spirits. Your task is to deliver this ring to that individual." Lanayru told me. "What do these rings do?" I asked. "the Rings of the Light Spirits are sacred items that grant their wearer the blessings of the spirits." Lanayru said. "So they protect us?" I asked him. "To an extent, yes." he told me. I looked upon the ring in my hand, then I looked back up at Lanayru. "All right. Where do I find this individual." I asked. "You will find this individual withitn a city west of here." Lanayru answered. "But how will I know when I have found this person?" I asked him. "You will know once both of your hearts are one." Lanayru answered. I didn't get it, so I asked, "Are there any other ways?"
"The only other advice I can give you is that if you look to the stars, the answer will come to you." Lanayru said. Upon saying that, he vanished. I was still honored that I had actually met the spirit who protected my villiage, but I had no time to waste, I had to deliver the ring.
On my way back to my house, I noticed that many people had taken interest in my new outfit. Whether it had been praise or insult, I didn't have time to ponder that. Upon entering my house, I saw Bladelight's body, still lying where it feel. After I packed some food for my journey, I made a grave for my master, and gave my respects.
I knew if it weren't for him, I might not be around right now. Its because of him that I ws able to realize my destiny as the Hero of Time. But I couldn't linger there any longer. As I started my journey westward, I took one last look at my old home, and then pressed onward.
